If you're serious about not carrying arround a notebook to all your meetings but you'd still like to stay connected business and entertainment-wise, listen on.
A. Of the First Importance.
Is definitely business. It's not what kind of phone you carry arround or what it'll do. Rather it's about whether your main mode of communication is able to interact with your business related touch-points in the most efficent manner. So I go for the Blackberry Bold 100 times out of 100 times. How much is it? Considering how much the Ss and Ls of Korea sell their really bad phones for, it's a bargain.
B. What? Get a notebook? Heck no!!
The second tier of communication device you should have in your bag of goodies is an I-Pod Touch. Ha! Here's where Apple shines. With it's endless applications, widgets and a device that is optimized for simple web surfing capabilities, you have a safety blanket for your entertainment needs.
I don't care if you want a netbook, you'll drop that sucker in 6 months time and forget it ever existed. The netbook's moniker of ultra mobility, is a lot of snake oil and tonic water to me.
C. The King of Internal Communication.
If you think, "Hey I have an I-Pod Touch! I don't need this!" Yes you do. I assure you, neither your Touch or your Bold has the battery life, sound quality or customized UI to bridge the gap of Music & Video more than the Cowon D2+.
The key here is to stay ultra-mobile when you're out of the office all the time.
So stick with your desktops, notetops in the office and leverage communication between the A, B, and Cs outside.
Cheers :)
